Why has your Exhaust system failed?

The most common reason for any exhaust system to breakdown is general wear and tear. Over the years your exhaust system has been subjected to extreme temperatures and poisonous gases which over time have broken down your exhaust system. Most of the time you simply need to replace a muffler or tailpipe but some time the damage can extend right the way through the exhaust system.

Is the weather causing damage to my exhaust system?

The answer is YES! As temperatures fall your cars exhaust will begin to struggle with increases in condensation and water vapour. This condensation will lead to corrosion and eventually failure. This will not happen overnight but it will happen! This is why we recommend getting the system checked out at least once a year (we can check it out for free).

Durability and Warranties

In recent times exhaust systems have been made to last longer and exhaust problems have become few and far between. All of our parts and workmanship carry a 2 year warranty but they often last longer. However, some cars exhaust systems are more prone to damage and it therefore makes sense to pop into one of our 5 stores at least once a year for a free inspection.

How long will it take to fit?

When it comes to repairing and replacing damaged exhaust systems we can do so usually in around 20 minutes and if we can do it for free we will! On last count we averaged 3.2 cars per day fixed for free.
